Former wrestler puts Ryan Seacrest in a headlock
Ryan Seacrest is in his first season as the host of Wheel of Fortune after taking over from the legendary Pat Sajak.
The 50-year-old host got more than bargained for when took over the long-running game show.
One of the contestants was a former professional wrestler.
50-year-old “Big Bill” Page from Wilmington, Delaware looked like an easygoing guy in his Hawaiian shirt with pictures of his six grandkids on it.
Seacrest asked him about his “past life” as a pro wrestler.
The Wheel host then asked Page if he wanted to show off one of his moves.

Page put Seacrest into a headlock who was smiling as he tapped out.
The former pro wrestler went on to win $24,600 and a vacation to St. Martin during the game.
He made it to the bonus round but failed to solve the puzzle, which was “PAIR OF WHITE GLOVES.”
Seacrest revealed that the miss cost him the chance to win a new Ford Bronco.
Page still had a great time on the show as he chatted it up with Seacrest afterward.
An unexpected moment of fun on Wheel of Fortune
Wheel of Fortune social media correspondent Maggie Sajak, the daughter of Pat, interviewed Page after the game.
“Well Bill, your game started with putting Ryan in a headlock, and I thought that would be the peak, but it was only uphill from there,” Sajak said.
“Yes, it was a fantastic night. I really enjoyed it,” Page replied.
She asked if he expected to show off any of the moves he learned as a professional wrestler.
“I wasn’t sure. I told them I did pro wrestling, and they said, ‘What kind of moves can you put on Ryan? “I said, ‘Well, I guess the easiest one would be a headlock,'” Page recalled.
That drew a laugh out of Sajak who pointed out that Seacrest tapped out pretty quickly.
Page revealed how he got into wrestling.
“I did scholastic wrestling when I was in high school and everything, and then back in the day, we used to watch professional wrestling, so we started an organization on the East Coast,” Page explained. “The East Coast Wrestling Association, so I did that all off the top ropes, getting slammed, kicked in the head and everything . . . it was fun.”
This wasn’t the first time that Seacrest took a bump from a contestant.
During an episode that aired in January, an excited contestant knocked Seacrest over celebrating.
Contestant Daniel Thomas correctly solved the puzzle for a seven-letter word in the category Living Things with “Guppies.”
Thomas jumped up and down and gave Seacrest a hug, which sent the host tumbling to the floor.
“Oh my gosh! Are you okay?!” Thomas asked.
Seacrest sprang to his feet and assured him that everything was ok.
Ryan Seacrest clearly is having fun with the job as the host of Wheel of Fortune.
