Trump campaigned on a promise to get the woke out of the Armed Forces and make the military strong again.
He went to work fulfilling that promise when he signed an executive order “prioritizing military excellence and readiness” within days of taking office.
The executive order stated that “the Armed Forces have been afflicted with radical gender ideology to appease activists unconcerned with the requirements of military service like physical and mental health, selflessness, and unit cohesion.”
The order banned race or sex-based discrimination within the Armed Forces, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Homeland Security.
It also removed all diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs within the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security.
Trump even fired the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Air Force Gen. C.Q. Brown, and a number of other top military officers.
Vice President J.D. Vance recently addressed a group of soldiers at the Marine Corps base in Quantico, Virginia.
J.D. Vance served in the Marines and did a tour overseas.
“Under President Trump’s leadership, we believe in a very simple principle,” Vance said. “We don’t care who you are, where you came from, we don’t care what skin color you are – we care about excellence and we care about patriotism.”
Vance vowed that there would be no more wokeness in the military.
“No more quotas, no more ridiculous mumbo-jumbo, no more diversity training,” Vance said.
But then Vance explained the real diversity that makes America’s military strong and respected on the world stage.
“We believe the real strength and the real diversity in the United States Marine Corps is that you all come from every walk of life, come from every corner of America, and you have got the strength and the purpose to win the nation’s wars,” Vance said. “And that is what the Marine Corps is going to do, just like it’s done for d*** near 250 years.”
