Democrat post-election research shows major problems with key voters
Democrats have been suffering from shellshock since the 2024 Election.
They went into Election Day expecting former Vice President Kamala Harris to win a tight race.
But President Donald Trump swept all seven swing states and became the first Republican in 20 years to win the popular vote.
Trump made major gains with black voters, Hispanics, and young voters on his way to victory.
Democrats for decades assumed that demographics were destiny.
A growing minority and immigration population was supposed to give them a lock on power.
Blue Rose Research, a Democrat data group, found the warning signs are flashing red for Democrats in a massive survey of voters after the election.
The group surveyed 26 million people in the 2024 Election to figure out how Kamala lost.
Blue Rose Research found that minority women were the only demographic under the age of 26 that Kamala won.
White women and men of every race backed Trump at levels above 50% in that age demographic.
Their study also found that Trump likely won immigrants born outside America who became citizens.
Voters in this group had a massive swing toward Trump.
“Precinct-level election results points to Trump making considerable gains in black, Hispanic, and Asian immigrant neighborhoods throughout the country,” Blue Rose Research’s study explained. “Our best estimate is that immigrant voters swung from a Biden+27 voting bloc in 2020 to a Trump+1 group in 2024.”
Major Democrat advantage went away in 2024
Democrats want to get rid of voter ID, register everyone to vote, and use mass mail-in voting to increase voter turnout.
Their theory has long been that the more people who show up to vote, the more Democrat the electorate will be.
Blue Rose Research’s study found that turning out nonvoters in the 2024 Election would have increased Trump’s margin of victory.
“There’s a turnout story this cycle – but a different one than we’re used to talking about. With the combination of less-engaged and less-likely voters leaning more GOP, a larger electorate meant a more Republican electorate,” the Blue Rose Research study stated. “Projecting onto the full voter file, if every registered voter voted, it’s likely that Trump would have won by even more.”
Young voters, minorities, and low-turnout voters all shifted away from Democrats this election cycle.
Trends can always change, but these were core demographics that Democrats were counting on.
Young voters were supposed to ride to the rescue for Democrats.
Now, it looks like Generation Z could be one of the most conservative generations in decades.
Large swaths of the electorate aren’t buying what Democrats are selling.
The hard Left turn the party made is increasingly alienating the voters they thought they could count on.
Democrats are going to have a harder time rebuilding the party than imagined after getting shellacked last year.
