Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is trying to fill the leadership vacuum in the Democrat Party. 

He’s making the rounds in the media and holding town halls to “fight” the Trump administration. 

Democrat voters are frustrated with the party’s leadership for not doing enough to oppose President Donald Trump. 

Walz thinks he can fill the role of a bare-knuckles political brawler that the Democrat base is looking for as he eyes a potential 2028 Presidential campaign. 

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has become the new bogeyman for Democrats over his work with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). 

Democrats went from loving Tesla to holding protests outside their dealerships and vandalizing them. 

Walz decided to throw some red meat to the base by celebrating Tesla’s stock sliding this year. 

“Some of you know this, on the iPhone, they’ve got that little stock app. I added Tesla to it to give me a little boost during the day — $225 and dropping,” Walz told a crowd to applause. 

Cheering for an American company to fail is now part of the Left’s political playbook. 

Walz later issued an apology after he once again stuck his foot in his mouth. 

Minnesota’s public pension fund owns more than 1.5 million shares of Tesla. 

Tim Walz admits he has an unhealthy obsession with Elon Musk

The Minnesota Governor mocked Republicans for not having a sense of humor and admitted he’s obsessed with Musk during a town hall event. 

“This guy bugs me in a way that is probably unhealthy,” Walz told a crowd in Rochester, Minnesota. 

“But I have to be careful about being a smarta**,” Walz claimed. “I was making a joke. These people have no sense of humor. They are the most literal people, most literal people. But my point was they’re all mad, and I said something I didn’t — you know, probably shouldn’t have about a company.”

There’s nothing funny about cheering for Tesla to fail unless you’re an unhinged Democrat. 

Walz strutted around the stage at the event like a standup comic airing his grievances and trying to make jokes. 

“He is an idiot,” someone in the crowd told Walz during a Q&A session about Musk. 

That let Walz segue into another tangent focused on the Tesla CEO. 

“Agreed. Agreed. So I make — I make the case, they’re all butt-hurt about the Tesla thing, but they don’t care [about] the disrespect they have shown to employees at the Minneapolis VA who care for our veterans and they fire them,” Walz claimed without evidence. 

Musk jabbed back at Walz on social media. 

“Sometimes when I need a little boost, I look at the [J.D. Vance] portrait in the [White House] and thank the Lord,” Musk wrote on X. 

The Democrat base wants fighters and don’t see that in the party’s leadership. 

Tim Walz and other elected Democrats are going to act like buffoons to try to win over the agitated base with the 2028 Presidential field wide open.
