Obama judge traveled to an anti-Trump judicial conference
Activist District Court judges have seized the powers of the Presidency in Article II of the Constitution.
President Donald Trump has faced an onslaught of rulings from District Court judges who’ve given themselves the power to make decisions for the executive branch.
D.C. District Court Judge James Boasberg, an appointee of former President Barack Obama, issued a temporary restraining order blocking Trump from using the Alien Enemies Act to deport illegal aliens who are violent gang members as national security threats.
Boasberg went so far as to demand two planes carrying members of the Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua to El Salvador to return to American soil in midflight.
He declared himself the supreme authority for making national security decisions for the country.
The ruling is part of a larger attempt by Democrat judges to act like political activists from the bench to stop Trump’s agenda.
Boasberg and 11 other federal judges attended a legal conference in Sun Valley, Idaho in July 2024 after former President Joe Biden’s campaign imploded after his disastrous debate.
The conference featured anti-Trump speakers and was openly hostile to his agenda, particularly on illegal immigration.
Sessions at the conference included the “Role of Judges in a Democracy” and the “State of Democracy.”
Boasberg filed a judicial ethics report about the conference but it didn’t state whether he had his travel paid for to attend it.
A retired federal judge who was appointed by a Democrat warned Just the News the conference’s focus on “democracy” was close to the messaging of the Democrat Party.
Planning and preparation to stop the Trump agenda
The conference was put on by the Rodel Institute, which is funded by a who’s who of major left-wing foundations including the Hewlett Foundation, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and the Henry Luce Foundation.
All three foundations fund left-wing non-profits opposed to Trump’s agenda.
The Rockefeller Brothers Fund is a major donor to The Brennan Center for Justice, which has sued the Trump administration.
Rodel chief executive officer John Kroger called for Trump’s impeachment and accused his administration of making numerous illegal actions.
He praised former Special Counsel Jack Smith as “a very serious person and a very rigorous, careful, painstaking prosecutor” after Trump was indicted.
Catholic University law professor Cara Drinan was one of the speakers on the roles of judges in a democracy.
She’s been openly hostile to Trump dating back to his first administration.
Drinan wrote a 2018 piece in the left-wing Huffington Post that complained about the first Trump administration for “keeping migrant children in cages, claiming that a policy of family separation deters future illegal immigration.”
The Rodel Institute was founded in 2005 as part of the globalist Aspen Institute.
Democrat judges could have laid the groundwork to stop Donald Trump’s agenda before he took office.
